THE TOP 10 SENIOR SCAMS
Help prevent your clients from being vulnerable to senior scams!
This month’s speakers, Juanita Balenger, Community Outreach Coordinator and TRIAD Director for the Attorney General and Captain Michelle Nuneville Commander of the Criminal Investigations Section with the Arlington County Police Department, will provide us with warning signs and examples of Elder Fraud schemes.
Our speakers will elaborate on scams that use both telemarketing and the Internet to target our elderly population. These scams can involve someone fraudulently posing as a credit card company or government representatives to gain access to sensitive personal or financial information, someone offering a bogus deal on goods or services, someone posing as a grandchild in trouble asking for financial help, or even as simple as someone creating a diversion in order to distract their elderly target so that they can rob them. Learn what resources are available to our seniors on a county and state level to help prevent or report a scam.
Please join us at Quinn’s Auction Galleries located at 360 S. Washington Street, Falls Church, Virginia for an amazing breakfast replete with eggs, bacon, croissants and fresh fruit!
