“When Characters Stalk Their Authors,” a discussion with National Book Award–winning author Julia Glass at North Hill senior community. Glass will talk about the genesis of her latest novel, And the Dark Sacred Night, which she wrote after surrendering to certain characters from previous novels who just wouldn’t leave her alone.

Fans of Glass’ earlier books, especially Three Junes and The Whole World Over, will be happy to reencounter old familiars Fenno McLeod and Walter Kinderman, along with Malachy and Lucinda Burns, and to hear how Glass chose to follow their stories both forward into the future and further back into their tangled past.

After the book talk, she will answer questions and sign books. Glass’ latest book And the Dark Sacred Night will be available for sale.

The complimentary book talk and book signing is part of the True North Spring 2015 Courses and Events and is open to all Boston Metrowest seniors.
