Please join us for an introductory lecture by Pritha Ghosh, MD. Dr. Ghosh is board-certified in Neurology and is a clinical assistant professor at The George Washington University School or Medicine & Health Sciences. She received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed her internal medicine internship at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and trained in neurology at Georgetown University Hospital. Her clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, deep brain stimulation, tremor, dystonia and other movement disorders. In addition to being trained in the evaluation and treatment of candidates for deep brain stimulation therapy, Dr. Ghosh is skilled in the use of botulinum injections for treating dystonia. Dr. Ghosh is a clinical educator. As director of the medical student clerkship in Neurology, she is devoted to educating students, but also strives to teaching Parkinson’s patients, their family members and the community at large about Parkinson’s disease. She is a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (parkisonfoundation.org).
