The always popular Wind Ensemble of the Greenbelt Concert Band returns to Friendship Terrace for a grand celebration of “National HUG Day” on Tuesday, January 21st at 11:30 AM. The Greenbelt Concert Band is a volunteer adult musical organization dedicated to providing quality musical performances for the citizens of the City of Greenbelt, Prince George’s County, and surrounding areas. Continuously for seventy years the band has performed for civic and charitable activities, including concerts for veteran’s groups, retirement communities, nursing homes, and hospitals. It is composed of musicians from local communities and is open to all those with appropriate playing experience. The concert at Friendship Terrace, which will feature songs of “Love and Hugs,” is FREE and open the public to attend. Complimentary coffee will be served. Friendship Terrace Retirement Community is located at 4201 Butterworth Place, NW in Washington, DC just two blocks from the Tenleytown Metro Station.
