Arden Courts Memory Care Community of Pikesville presents a free film presentation, “Complaints of a Dutiful Daughter” on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. “Complaints of a Dutiful Daughter” chronicles the various stages of a mother’s experience with Alzheimer’s disease and the evolution of her daughter’s response to the illness. The daughter’s desire to cure the incurable–to set right her mother’s confusion and forgetfulness, to temper her mother’s obsessiveness–give way to an acceptance, which is liberating for both mother and daughter.
Born out of love and frustration, filmmaker Deborah Hoffmann’s directorial debut takes an intimate look at the enduring bond between two people.
After the film, Janet Kurland, MSW, LCSW-C, from Jewish Family Services will be available to answer your questions regarding Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Seating is limited, so make your reservation early. A complimentary light dinner will be served.
