Elizabeth Galik, PhD, CRNP, Associate Professor at University of Maryland School of Nursing, will give an overview of current selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors commonly prescribed for those with depression and discuss the pros and cons that accompany taking these medications.
Dr. Galik specializes in the medical and neuropsychiatric care of older adults, teaches in the adult and geriatric nurse practitioner program and maintains a clinical practice in dementia symptom management at Copper Ridge and Sheppard Pratt.
