Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta, author of Images of America: Occoquan, will share a visual history of the charming, riverside Town of Occoquan at Westminster at Lake Ridge, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Lake Ridge, on Tuesday May 15th at 1:00 p.m.
Learn about the role the Town of Occoquan has played in history — from the days when Native Americans lived along its riverbanks, the arrival of John Smith in 1608, occupation by both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War, as well as the destruction it suffered from Hurricane Agnes to the charming and vibrant town it is today.
Enjoy refreshments, tour our new apartment and cottage models, meet residents, hear about exciting changes taking place and more! This event is free. RSVP by calling 703-496-3440 or email [email protected] or register online at www.eventwlrva.org.
